  • Completely loved how Max Brooks just committed to its premise. Brooks writes as if zombies are a real public safety threat, turning the book into a surprisingly convincing survival manual instead of a parody.
  • A lot of the advice actually makes sense and they are practical. Underneath the zombie scenario, it's really a book about emergency preparedness—staying calm, planning ahead, keeping supplies ready, thinking strategically, and avoiding unnecessary risks. Also, katanas are the best weapon, not guns. But I guess that depends on what kind of zombies you are dealing with.
  • I started watching videos about how to survive in the wilderness and making tools from scratch. I think Covid is making a bit a crazy.
