- Top Gun: Maverick brings Pete “Maverick” Mitchell back as an older test pilot asked to train a new generation of elite Navy aviators for a nearly impossible mission. His biggest challenge is Rooster, the son of his late best friend Goose, whose resentment forces Maverick to face old guilt. The movie is both a legacy sequel and a redemption story built around mentorship, risk, and unfinished grief.
- Top Gun (1986) made Tom Cruise a star, and now 36 years later he jumps back in role of Pete Mitchell AKA Maverick almost like he never left. I don’t remember much about the plot after leaving the theater, but boy I enjoyed every moment of the movie.
- So much respect for Tom Cruise as someone much beyond an actor.
